A Place at the Table, 2025
This project was a socially engaged installation that explored themes of everyday sexism and collective resistance through the domestic lens of craft and hospitality. Centred around a hand-embroidered tablecloth featuring testimonies from workshops with women, the work transformed maternal symbols, such as the taking of tea and fancy napkins, into a social sculpture that documented shared experiences. By blending feminist research with a practice-based approach, the installation created a communal space for dialogue, using the quiet act of embroidery as a form of material record-keeping and the ritual of sharing tea to foster inclusive conversations.
